Potato & Salmon Mille-Feuilles with Caramelized Onions


This is a recipe I found on Nathalie’s blog!! Really easy and impressive dish!!! Yummm!!! 🙂


  • 4  potatoes,
  • 2 red onions,
  • 6 slices of smoked salmon,
  • 1 tsp of thyme,
  • Salt,
  • freshly ground pepper,
  • Olive oil.


  1. Preheat oven to 160 ° C
  2. Peel, wash and slice potatoes, very thinly.
  3. Peel and cut into thin slices the red onions.
  4. Line a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet, grease it with a brush.
  5. Put on a first thin slice of potato, some smoked salmon, another thin potato slice and so on, ending with a thin slice of red onion.
  6. Add salt and pepper, sprinkle with thyme and sprinkle a dash of olive oil.
  7. Bake for about an hour, basting with oil regularly.
  8. Serve immediately.

      1. Just made it tonight, but was so bothered about the amount of thyme, I used rosemary instead! So good, I’m going to do it properly next time 😀
